Abstract

Taninler bitki aleminde sıkça görülen ve çoğu bitkinin dal, yaprak, odun, meyve ve kabuklarında yer alan fenolik bileşikler ve doğal biyopolimerlerdir. Taninler çok sayıda fenolik hidroksil içeriğinden dolayı birçok metal iyonuna karşı yüksek afinite göstermektedirler. Ayrıca taninler, kolay bulunabilirliği, ucuzluğu, çevre dostu olmaları ve kimyasal modifikasyon kolaylığı nedeniyle tıp, eczacılık, tekstil, boya, adsorpsiyon prosesleri gibi pek çok alanda ilgi çeken bir maddedir. Bu çalışmada çeşitli alanlarda kullanılabilecek bir polimer yapı elde edilmesi amacı ile ülkemiz florasından elde edilen valonya tanin ilk olarak klorometillenmiş ve ardından bir dizi amin grubundan oluşan etilendiamin ile fonksiyonelleştirilerek etilendiamin modifiye edilmiş valonya tanin polimeri elde edilmiştir. Ardından elde edilen çok amaçlı etilendiamin modifiye tanin polimeri FTIR, BET ve TGA analizleri ile karakterize edilmiştir.
